Dismissal:

Any behavior by a student that interrupts classroom activities or clinic operations may result in dismissal. A student dismissed for misconduct will receive a written notice explaining the reasons. Additionally, a student dismissed for misconduct will not be permitted to re-enroll.

Withdrawal/Refund Policy:

If a student needs to withdraw from a program at DeLeon Barber & Beauty Academy, the following refund policy will be in effect: The student will be responsible for covering the cost of the student toolkit, software downloads, administrative time, and hours in the classroom. These costs are deducted from any amounts already paid in deposits or monthly installments and a final total will be provided. In some cases, students may incur additional costs to withdraw from DeLeon Barber & Beauty Academy. (See the Leave of Absence Policy.)

Leave of Absence Policy:

We understand that life happens. In the case that a student is facing a personal or financial hardship, they may request a leave of absence from the program for up to 30 days. All fees normally incurred during that time for tuition are waived until the end of the 30 period.

Graduate Placement Policy:

DeLeon Barber & Beauty Academy does not guarantee job placement after graduation, but we offer employment assistance to all graduates looking for jobs related to their training. Students learn to build resumes and prepare for interviews. We can help students connect with potential employers upon request. Job openings are regularly posted on our Facebook page by local employers seeking our graduates. We encourage graduates to stay in touch with the academy for ongoing job support.

Student’s Right to Privacy:

Student files are confidential, and no information will be shared with unauthorized individuals. Authorized parties include representatives from the U.S. Department of Education (including compliance auditors), the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts & Sciences, and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. DeLeon Barber & Beauty Academy ensures students can review their files privately with one or more administrators present. Parents or guardians of dependent minors may also review the student’s file with the student and an administrator. Written consent from the student or guardian is required to release any student information to third parties, except as stated above.
